Albuquerque Beekeepers

Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.

Wanted to let folks know about this tree aka Evodia Tetradium Daniellii. Bees love the flowers hence the name, I'm guessing. It needs full sun, is drought tolerant once established, but a slow grower. It is appropriate for our varied growing zones. It blooms in late summer but maybe not the 1st year. I'm giving it a try. Ordered it from an Oregon nursery, Forestfarm at Pacifica.

Make sure you get a female tree; from reading online the male trees don't make nectar.

hmm, did not see any info on that. I'll contact the nursery. Thanks!
