Entering extracted honey, honey comb and bees wax in the State Fair

Here is a photo Steve Burton entering his honey in the New Mexico State Fair.  We dropped off our entries at about 11:30am on 6 Sept 2011.  It is real easy to enter your hive products and it takes only a few minutes.  Go to the Agriculture building and you will find nice people to help you with your entries.  Good luck everyone!

Great photo. I just missed you. I dropped off goodies at 11. That's some good looking beeswax. Now I'm thinking I should have used something fancier than an old 1/2 and 1/2 container as a wax mold!
Great photo!  I can't wait to hear who's taking home the blue ribbon ;-)
Jessie.  It looks like several more beekeepers are bringing in their Honey, etc. this year.  Steve had some really nice wax didn't he?  I'm sure your topbar bees wax is awesome.  I wouldn't worry too much about the shape or form your wax is in though.  Good luck!!!
So who entered something in to the fair?
I was just there today helping set up the beekeeping display case and there are at least 50 bottles of honey that were entered. I think everybody entered the fair this year. Yahoo!
Thanks for everyone who entered something in the fair!  About 50 entries like Jesssie said! AND they look just beautiful.  We set up a very nice display case today as well, where the blue ribbon winners will most likely be placed after judging tomorrow.  Go check it out!  And if you would like to volunteer to answer questions on a populated observation hive and bee facts....saturdays are still mostly wide open (Firdays would work too even though it was not on the schedule) .   The Costanza's have been kind enough to provide a hive through the weekends.  Respond to the event section of this website...or leave me a message @ 695-2331.  thanks
