Hive Sharing Question

Hello,

My husband and I are building a farm just inside of Tijeras. He's interested in having bees on the farm and honey, but he's not so interested in the upkeep associated. Has anyone ever paid for the hives and bees and then had someone else tend the hives? Are there people who do this kind of thing?
