Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.

NEEDING URGENT HELP!

Hello all! My name is America I am an elementary education major at UNM. I am currently doing my student teaching at Puesta Del Sol in Rio Rancho and am urgently needing a guest speaker for this week, latest day being Thursday. For the past 3-4 weeks I’ve been reaching out to nmbeekeepers, the zoo/botanical gardens, and even NMSU extension programs and no one is getting back to me. Please if you’d be willing to come into my classroom once Tues-Thurs @ 11:30 or 1:00 for a short speech on pollinators and bees and maybe answer some questions from students (3rd) please reach out! I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Albuquerque Beekeepers for being such helpful community leaders! On Friday, May 6th, my 3rd-grade class and I had the amazing opportunity to talk to a Beekeeper through Google Meets. We discussed some great facts, had the chance to look at a real beehive along with an up-close look at a new honeycomb, ask some great questions, and meet an environmental activist! I had been reaching out to different places for help but it was this group that actually provided me and my students with support. Keep up the amazing job Albuquerque Beekeepers, my class and I appreciate all you do!
