Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.
I will have 2013 marked queens in April, May and June for trade only. I will trade each queen for two frames of brood. This method of replacing the queen and removing bees with the brood insures good strong hives that will produce a good crop of honey. I can also help install your new queens. Beekeepers should requeen each spring to prevent swarming. Each hive that swarms will loose 50-60% of it's bees usually resulting in the death of the colony by the following year. A hive that swarms will produce little to no honey in the year that it swarms. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
