Sorry for the slow reply. Top bar hives really appeal to me as I'd like to make my own equipment, manage treatment free, and go as natural as possible. I might consider foundationless treatment free medium 8 frame Langstroth equipment with top entrances as Michael Bush recommends, but that would be more expensive.


If you wouldn't mind my taking a look at your apiary some time, I'd appreciate the chance to get a closer look with someone who has experience.
