About me:: My Grandson and I have started a Hive in 2011. Harvested our first crop last week. I used to have numerous hives back in 1980 in Texas. Looking forward to expanding to 3 Hives this summer. UPDATE: Here it is Fall of 2015 we have expanded to 29 Hives, harvested 652 ibs. Turned out to be lots of work, fun, rewarding and full filling.

Lots of Swarms

Question:

Is everyone having lots of Swarms? We went though winter with 4 Langstroth Hives and have had them swarm 8 times Two got away before we could catch them . Caught the rest (6). In my experience I have never had that occur. Any comments?
