Bees built comb across the top bar?

Hi, instead of building their comb along the beeswax and cord along the top bar, my bees built their comb across the row of top bars. I am not sure what to do.

I picked up a rather large swarm in old town and this am, I peeked in the top. Didn't open it up just peeked in, and the swarm in the box looked MUCH smaller than the group I put in on Sunday. They…Continue
