Hello,My husband and I are building a farm just inside of Tijeras. He's interested in having bees on the farm and honey, but he's not so interested in the upkeep associated. Has anyone ever paid for the hives and bees and then had someone else tend the hives? Are there people who do this kind of thing?See More

About me:: Hello, my husband and I are both Engineers. I grew up on a ranch, and now that we are finally settling in one place, we are finally able to go back to that sort of lifestyle. We have 3 dogs, 4 horses, and plan to acquire some goats. These are all my side of the farm life, but for his side, he plans to install a small fruit tree orchard, a large community garden (we bought about 17 acres), and he'd like to set up a few beehives and learn how to take care of them.
